I was just wondering, how many of you typically enter the maximum number of events that you can? I always do. One of our new coaches wants us to try and focus more on our "stronger events" and skip the other events. I usually like to see how well I might do in a event I haven't done in awhile.
I'm more in the camp of doing the most allowed, but try to avoid back to back events. Typically I'd do 3-5 events a day when I did meets. At one meet I did a 50 back, more as filler between a longer break before other events I wanted to do (I didn't even know a proper back start and was scolded by the starter). I figure if I'm paying 40 bucks and giving up 1-2 days, I might as well get in some yardage while I'm at it.
Note, I'm not a fast swimmer. But just about every time I did a meet it was a pb for me.
