I was just wondering, how many of you typically enter the maximum number of events that you can? I always do. One of our new coaches wants us to try and focus more on our "stronger events" and skip the other events. I usually like to see how well I might do in a event I haven't done in awhile.
Um, that wasn't lactate intolerance.
How about your other 100s fly, then? :) I love how Fort says, it wasn't lactate intolerance, it was lack of training. I don't think there is much difference.
I will say that, beyond adaptations producing power, aerobic endurance, lactate tolerance, stroke efficiency, etc etc, an important aspect of training is simply to figure out the proper way to pace any event above a 50. ANYONE will die if they take out a race too hard, no matter how they train.
Just to be clear: I give you a LOT of kudos for doing the 100 fly race, I just like poking fun at big targets... (interpret that however you want).
