Why does it appear many masters swimmers are taking USMS so seriously?
What's the difference between the typical "selfish train all day", "it's all about me" triathlete and a masters swimmer who seriously trains as hard as they can.... particularly to focus on setting masters records?
Seems like there is a growing parallel between triathletes and many masters swimmers these days.
Isn't it just "masters swimming" for health and fun in the end?
Does a masters record really mean that much?
Is this a good thing? ..... or a turn off for those who look on with amusement.
I find all attenton flattering...it's the "ego" thing.
And I'm "friends" with my fellow "eiltist" Mr. Thornton on FB...how's that work into your "association" theory?
GoBears...I'm just offended by the whole Cal thing you got going on!
Hey, well at least I'm not over there on the mascot thread threatening others with my Golden Bears! Gotta' give you props for your sense of humor...
The elite swimmers even have their own attorney on the forum. Hey Leslie, will you represent me?
Delighted. I only take "serious" clients who body surf and post photos though. This should eliminate all the people who "get it." I'm trying to practice as little law as possible these days to ensure sufficient time to obsess over swimming.
At least I got a short glimpse of the lampoon before it was yanked!

I am an egotistical elitist, I only have a sense of humor when it comes to mocking swimmers from Cal, USC & Stanford as well as Lawyers, Doctors who are better at body surfing than swimmers, yoga practitioners who hold plank longer than I and/or can do the splits while wearing pink, Triathletes with ironman tattoo's that can't swim a 100 under 3:00 but have $7000 bikes as well as lesser swimmers, and Jim.
gbrain has made the list as well...
Mr. Negative is an elitist, and being flattered by being associated with an elitist, you may be considered an elitist as well.
He is also more of a leftist than Chaos, shares a common fear of speaking his mind "publicly" (ie. he's a ***) using an alias like you...and like me is not White Buffalo.
Thornton gets paid by the "word"...he's a closet Capitalist.
Dear Sir:
I happen to know both Smiths-the individuals whose pictures you made caricatures out of and personally attacked. Despite the fact that the Smiths are "big boys", big targets, and can take care of themselves, I find your public post unbelievably offensive. In part, the offensiveness is because our law firm handles sexual assault cases. And, let me be crystal clear- your public post with link is not cute, funny, or remotely bordering on anything appropriate.
Rather, I find, "turns the Smith twins into his bitches" and your posting of "ejaculation" a violation of the USMS posting guidelines-check out the Facq/Forum Rules.
If you continue with these posts, I will personally see how the administrator, Mr. Matysekj and USMS feel about you and your posts and whether you and your public posts and links on United States Masters Swimming's website should be removed and/or barred as uncivil/offensive.
Your complete lack of sensitivity around gays, women, any ordinary John and/or Jane Doe, anyone sexual abused, etc, in your post speaks for itself. Again, the Smiths are big boys, but you have crossed the line-please stop this and return to being civil and fun natured. Thanks.
Sincerely,
Robert Killeen Jr.
1. Ooooooooooo I'm scared!
2. Please do not take this in any way as a sexual reference, but I suspect there is a stick-like object in your sigmoid colon that might require surgical removal; I think you will feel much more comfortable once this has been extracted. I daresay you might even find human-like qualities, including, but not limited to, a) a sense of humor, and b) a life, seeping back into your Bartleby the Scrivener like physiognamy.
Frankly, Bobby, I don't think the law is doing you any good.
Not any good at all.
qbrain I'm aware of the rule. I just don't agree that the word "ejaculation", in the context it was used, constitutes a breach of it.
Wow!
Yowser!
Woooooohooooooo!
Chicken, you are a very perspicacious Aussie! Perhaps you could help the irate esquire!
Note that I was using the first, i.e., primary definition of ejcaculation. Absolutely no offense intended. And only the most niggardly of spirits would even jump to such a slanderous conclusion!
Noun1.ejaculation - an abrupt emphatic exclamation expressing emotioninterjection
exclaiming, exclamation - an abrupt excited utterance; "she gave an exclamation of delight"; "there was much exclaiming over it"
2.ejaculation - the discharge of xxx in xxx
expelling, discharge, emission - any of several bodily processes by which substances go out of the body; "the discharge of pus"
nocturnal emission - ejaculation during sleep (usually during a dream)
premature ejaculation - ejaculation during the early stages of xxxx excitement or soon after the insertion of the xxxx into the xxxx
Note: I have edited out everything objectionable from the secondary and course definition of the word.

Do you need reading glasses too?! Between that and the big gut, you're really falling apart!
No worries. I will send you the pink workout top to add to your pink swimsuit and tutu collection. I abhor pink anyway. I prefer black to match my serious personality.
Triathletes with ironman tattoo's that can't swim a 100 under 3:00 but have $7000 bikes
this is really problematic actually - this person is barely a passable swimmer by triathlon standards. To make the standard swim cutoff time for an ironman event (2:20) you have to average 3:18 per 100 yards in open water. Half-iron events typically set their swim cutoff times at 1:10, the same speed threshold. 3:18 per 100 is so incredibly slow that (except in special circumstances like Team Hoyt or octogenarians) I never feel bad for anyone that can't make the cutoff.

Could have sworn I recently read another blog entry referring to b*tches in the same sense ...
Is there a requirement that we be "fun natured?" If we don't "get it," can we possibly comply with this requirement?
However I can only say that your "researchers" flatter me with their assumption that I'm one of the two anonymous posters. I never have posted under an alias and never will...but nice try...and keep searching!
You are flattered?
