Why does it appear many masters swimmers are taking USMS so seriously?
What's the difference between the typical "selfish train all day", "it's all about me" triathlete and a masters swimmer who seriously trains as hard as they can.... particularly to focus on setting masters records?
Seems like there is a growing parallel between triathletes and many masters swimmers these days.
Isn't it just "masters swimming" for health and fun in the end?
Does a masters record really mean that much?
Is this a good thing? ..... or a turn off for those who look on with amusement.
You are flattered?
Oh course...
And I believe that if you can't take the heat stay out of the kitchen so to speak...I don't come on here and hide my identity so I can say things that I wouldn't say in person, it's amazing how much courage that gives some folks...I speak my mind, troll, try and have some fun, pass along some workouts in case people are looking...and I welcome the shots back at me, comes with having the biggest ego (and shoes) on this forum!
This thread has truly reached its nadir now that the lawyers start showing up!
Didn't we ban them sometime back...but "Grandfathered" Fort...
Killeen must be back at Tulane drinking with his buddies! He's still pissed at me because he blew the zipper out on his suit in the 50 fly in Austin last year....
Right now, Jim can get away with anything because he has downloaded his complete files of candid 'starlet' photographs to every moderator's email address. They will be distracted for quite awhile.

Must be the economy - even the lawyers are trolling, I mean looking, for work.
Apparently so.
I think that it may be a case of if you are likely to find it offensive you are equally unlikely to know what it means.
Not exactly the same thing, but this reminds me of the book MoneyBall. Everyone who hated the book seems to think that it was written by Billy Beane, and everyone who liked the book knows that it was actually written by M Lewis.
Yes, I have noticed that you don't pull punches and speak your mind freely. That still doesn't mean being associated with Mr. Negative's comments is flattering. There is a difference between being opinionated and elitist.
I find all attenton flattering...it's the "ego" thing.
And I'm "friends" with my fellow "eiltist" Mr. Thornton on FB...how's that work into your "association" theory?
GoBears...I'm just offended by the whole Cal thing you got going on!
I believe Robert was referring to this rule.
I also believe that Jim is not going to be overly shocked to find out that he broke a rule.
Of course, there is always this rule to consider:
