LZR Questions...

I got the LZR full neck suit yesterday in the mail. It is packaged and I had true excitement when I opened it. I ordered a medium based off the sizing chart that Speedo provides. When I pulled the suit on, the first thing I thought was that I'll NEVER be able to fit into it. At 8:30 I started my effort to try it on. At 9:00 I finally figured that I have to get it much higher on my legs. It clearly is not meant to go down to your ankles. At about 9:20 I finally managed to get it over my shoulders but zipping it up was impossible. My wife had to help me do that. At 9:30 she finished zipping it up. The suit was SO tight. I could bend over in the start position but I though it was going to tear. Here are my questions: 1) How tight should the suit be? Borderline uncomfortable? 2) Any tricks on putting it on? 3) Should I warm up in it, or do I want the suit to be dry when I dive in for my actualy race?

  • It will be easier the second time.Did you put plastic bags on your feet first as that makes it easier.I wear rubber gloves to avoid fingernail tears. If it doesn't take 2 people and a winch to zip up it is too loose.I hate how I feel walking around in it,I hate how I feel getting into starting position in it,but I love it in the water.
