I got the LZR full neck suit yesterday in the mail. It is packaged and I had true excitement when I opened it. I ordered a medium based off the sizing chart that Speedo provides. When I pulled the suit on, the first thing I thought was that I'll NEVER be able to fit into it.
At 8:30 I started my effort to try it on. At 9:00 I finally figured that I have to get it much higher on my legs. It clearly is not meant to go down to your ankles. At about 9:20 I finally managed to get it over my shoulders but zipping it up was impossible. My wife had to help me do that.
At 9:30 she finished zipping it up. The suit was SO tight. I could bend over in the start position but I though it was going to tear. Here are my questions:
1) How tight should the suit be? Borderline uncomfortable?
2) Any tricks on putting it on?
3) Should I warm up in it, or do I want the suit to be dry when I dive in for my actualy race?

this is hysterical. perhaps fina should consider "required assistance" as a factor in their approval process. (i'm not laughing at you.... just laughing)
The whole thing was comedic. It was so difficult that I was sweating by the time I got it on. Oh and I trimmed the hair off the top of my thighs because I was pulling out legs hairs. I forgot to add that part.
It will be easier the second time.Did you put plastic bags on your feet first as that makes it easier.I wear rubber gloves to avoid fingernail tears. If it doesn't take 2 people and a winch to zip up it is too loose.I hate how I feel walking around in it,I hate how I feel getting into starting position in it,but I love it in the water.

...and a winch to zip up...
Misspelled - try "wench".

Ugh. I just went through this yesterday myself. Except I didn't get to the zipping stage, as I was alone. I have heard from other LZR users that zipping up the suit is very difficult, and makes you feel like you can't breathe. And I have repeatedly been told by suit retailers that if it doesn't take forever to get the suit on, it's too big. Plus, as I understand it, the LZR stretches out very very quickly, literally after your first race. I think that's why it only lasts theoretically for 5-10 swims, the 10 being possible if you immediately take off the suit and rinse it. Ripping appears, unfortunately, to be a common hazard with these fragile suits.
Don't warm up in it. That would probably count as a swim and stretch it out. Like the Pro, it's probably fastest dry.
I'd be curious to see what other LZR users have to say as well.
BTW, I tried a very used LZR for a race at Zones. It felt just as buoyant to me as the B70.
