I am curious how many of you do two beat kicks? Are there any other world champions beside Manaudou who did two beat kicks? Also curious whether Manaudou does two beat kick in backstroke??

From a personal standpoint, I don't find much to any value in using a 2 beat kick in my swimming. I have tried to develop it, but it is awakard for one. Plus, I always swim slower using it verus just letting my legs hang out. In fact, my swimming feels more tired using a 2-beat kick compared to when I just let my legs drag. Now, having said that, there are people that love it and find it to be useful. The one thing people need to be careful of when using a 2 beat kick, is how wide they let their legs separate. The legs shouldn't get any wider than the body. People claim they get a "surge" when using the kick. If you watch the majority of people who feel this surge, their legs are so wide outside their body, that they have essential stopped in the water and when they do their kick, it does send the forward...feeling like they are surging. In reality, they are stopping-starting-stopping, etc. So, remember it is opposite arm-opposite leg, keep in the frame work of the body.
