Can anyone relay arthroscopic meniscus tear surgery recovery stories?? How quick back in the water etc??

I had this back in the 90's. Knee felt better the day after surgery. Never bothered with crutches. Flew to parents 3 days later for vacation. Back in the pool as soon as stitches were out.
