University of Washington is cutting both their men's and women's swimming programs. I hope that the people who do their Masters training there aren't affected. Usually, it's the men's program that gets cut. But, here, they cut both of the swimming programs.

We will be. At the very least we'll be looking for new coaches since the UW assistants coach our masters team. Without the college team I strongly suspect the masters team is kaput, too.
This really sucks and I hope the UW team can be saved, a la ASU. Whitney Hite and the other coaches really have put both teams on the map over the last couple seasons. I'm pretty much blindsided by this move.
No question football rules the roost at Washington. Despite having a terrible team for the last few seasons they've been trying to get money to fund a $300 million upgrade to the stadium, yet the swim team continues (or did, anyway) to use a six lane pool built in the 1930s.
