While I think that Craig Lord is a little over the top(or a lot),I do think there is something wrong when I hear of a good time and the first thing I think is"what suit were they wearing."
Things are messy now, no question. Once an approved list of suits is released, and swimmers aren't able to compete in non-approved suits, I think things will quiet down, we will get used to the new speeds that elite swimmers can now attain, etc. But what we're doing was, is, and will continue to be swimming.
