Really interesting article re: the cost for college teams to try and stay even w/other teams that can afford to supply their swimmers w/the new suits.

  • I trust everyone realizes that fluids (like the pudgies which we all contend with to one degree or another) are incompressible, certainly with the sorts of forces which could be applied by a tech suit. It's tough to get around the laws of physics. I've heard it said you have to be God or something. What the tech suits probably do for the flabbier swimmer is keep the flab from jiggling so much and creating turbulence. You get more laminar flow along the surface.
