Michael Phelps and a bong? Is there any truth to this?

are we sure that's Phelps?
If true, he seems to have a habit of screwing up in the very next Novembers after Olympics...
anyone here from the UK? How reputable is "news of the world"?
How could he be so careless?

I think it was good of him to come out and admit it. Most celebrities either lie about it, or blame someone else.

It's been rough for Olympian Michael Phelps as of late after being photographed inhaling from a marijuana pipe. Potentially destroying his role model status, he has been suspended from competition and lost a Kellogg's sponsorship. Though it's not all that bad for Phelps' team as they have picked up Rollie's Smoke Shop as a new sponsor to try to exploit this new 'bad boy' image. (credit: GETTY IMAGES)
Im not really surpried that michael phelps did this. I'm sure bad stuff could come out about alot of swimmers but it just doesn't get exposed. I know some people who know a certain olympic swimmer that bought an entire shopping cart full of beer with a fake id back when he was in high school. Thats not really roll model worthy either.
I thought a long time before I decided to revive this thread, but in the end, this editoral is excellent. I don't know how much longer it will be up on this newspaper's site. Enjoy. Lainey
