are we sure that's Phelps?
If true, he seems to have a habit of screwing up in the very next Novembers after Olympics...

He tested positive many years ago when steroids were legal and everyone was using them.
Not technically true. Steroids have been expressly banned by MLB since the early '90s. Although they tested players in 2003 (the year A-Rod allegedly tested positive) there was no penalty for a positive test like there is now.
And I do think this is a big story. A-Rod is one of the greatest players of all time. His career being tainted--like Roger Clemens'--is a serious blow for baseball. MLB turned a blind eye to drug use for way, way too long.
