Michael Phelps and a bong? Is there any truth to this?

are we sure that's Phelps? If true, he seems to have a habit of screwing up in the very next Novembers after Olympics... anyone here from the UK? How reputable is "news of the world"? How could he be so careless?

  • Sorry to get back to the topic of the thread... :afraid: Elise, great article. I agree. But what also struck me is that what makes our country so great is that everyone can voice their opinion. People can therefore take what they want from what they hear (or understand) and form an opinion for themselves. (cue National Anthem and smiley with an AMERICAN flag, not CANADIAN!). So, IMHO Phelps screwed up, again, and while it doesn't take away from his swimming achievements, it does hurt swimming. It hurts swimming b/c there was a real chance to make it more of a sport here like it is in Australia. "We" could have really built on his achievements and the publicity. I know USMS' numbers have increased a lot in the last year... Anyway, :blah: now back to our regularly scheduled Red Neck-African American-fried chicken-misunderstood-wife beater-Hispanic-offensive banter (in no particular order!) :bliss:
