Michael Phelps and a bong? Is there any truth to this?

are we sure that's Phelps? If true, he seems to have a habit of screwing up in the very next Novembers after Olympics... anyone here from the UK? How reputable is "news of the world"? How could he be so careless?

  • I certainly didn't compare him to Michael Vick. I used Vick as an example of one person who had the world, and he continued to engage in illegal (and morally reprehensible) activities despite his knowledge of the consequences for getting caught! Was smoking pot on the same wavelength as fighting dogs? No. But you can bet that McDonalds didn't sponsor him for only his speed. They sponsored him as a healthy and health conscious person. I'm pretty sure that a guy smoking a bong isn't the health conscious image they had in mind! You're right about health conscious image. Doubt he will be appearing on the front of kids' cereal boxes now.
