If true, he seems to have a habit of screwing up in the very next Novembers after Olympics...
anyone here from the UK? How reputable is "news of the world"?

It really isn't that much worse than getting a speeding ticket. Both speeding and being in possession of marijuana are breaking the law. In fact, smoking marijuana is not illegal. It is the possession of it that is. Obviously, society views smoking pot much harsher than getting a speeding ticket or we would not be having all the news reports about it. Can you imagine a breaking story about Phelps getting a speeding ticket? People could care less.
Personally, I've never understood the attraction to pot. I mean, since it is illegal to possess it and it has not been checked over, who knows what you are getting and smoking? What would stop somebody from lacing it with some toxic stuff?
