i'm still testing this theory out myself, so i'm not sure it works yet, but i'll pass it on in case it does work.
this one has to do with hair color loss. i just read an article in a book that said that hair absorbs and holds onto the first water that makes it wet. SO in theory, thoroughly wetting your hair in the shower before you swim (and wearing a cap of course) should prevent your hair from absorbing chlorine. i'm thinking that even if it doesn't totally prevent chlorine absorption it should cut down on it a little.
so far it seems to be working and i've been doing this for a couple of weeks (since the last time i had my hair colored).
it's worth a try.
as for the skin - use moisturizing shower gel (never soap) and use lotion after every swim and shower.
good luck
