Sorry - I just don't get YMCA masters nationals. Why have a seperate meet ?
That's like have a championhip for all teams that start with the letter A, B and C - nobody else is invited. You may beat up on those Austin and Colorado swimmers, but you never get to even swim against the guys from Florida.
Huh? Erik, you might look at the results from past meets. In my age group, I would be competing against most of the best competition that USMS has to offer plus some who only go to YMCA meets. The same can be said for Senior Games.
Let's hope we don't get rid of ANY of the above competitions so that we can have plenty of choice for big meets.
Full disclosure: I have never attended a YMCA meet but have attended many Senior Games and USMS National and local meets. Plus, I know Paul Smith.
