Where do you live?(and who are you?)

My comment about Jim Thorton being in the Eastern Media::D led me to wonder how many Forumites are on the E Coast as it seems lots of Y'all run into each other at meets. So where are you from. Also,I know many of you want to remain anonymous, but I'd like more people to fill out their profile.People talk about how they did at a meet, but without a name I can't look them up.

I live so close ( -LBJ I used to fish for smallmouth bass in the Susquehanna right within view of 3 mile island. Never ate them of course, but the fish were huge.
  • I live in Sag Harbor. It's a coastal community. Surrounded by bays, a few miles from the ocean, and lots of tourists in the summer. Sunset I love Sag Harbor! When I was young we spent a summer in a cottage right on North Sea Harbor. My mother and I used to vacation on Long Island and always visited Sag Harbor.
  • Beautiful Chillicothe, Illinois... both Native American names, those... I have a daughter currently residing in Texas, and she confirms that it is a Republic which joined the Union only out of convenience so they could put several Presidents in power over the years and prove to US that they really are as powerful as they claimed all along!
  • I'm West of DC in northern VA in the proximity of Fortress and Julie. And me.

Hi Nora, As inviting as the bays are...we finally have a pool out here too. The East Hampton YMCA.
  • I live in a rural part of OH, near Mansfield. In about 1 1/2 years I will be looking for a place to retire. I want to swim outdoors all year 'round. Ideas? (My husband is a retired teacher and I am a teacher also so we aren't wealthy. It needs to be affordable.)

Born and raised in Brazil from American mother (Mississippi) and British father (Brighton). Live in Anápolis, about 100 miles southwest of Brasilia, in the middle of Brazil. I did three years of high school in Chattanooga, way back, and spent a few months in St. Louis, in 1990. My american roots are Deep South, but no inherited prejudices or political affiliations, as I was raised away and without any contact with the South. I have travelled extensively throughout the U.S as a tourist. Might do the best trip. come October 2009, which would involve a solo motorcycle trip from L.A. to Baltimore, with detours around the route to visit relatives in Arizona, Mississippi and also to ride parts or the whole of the Blue Ridge Parkway. I have been swimming with a team and/or coach since 2004, giving up a promising (just kidding) career in tennis and running...billy fanstone

Sounds like a great adventure. Haven't met too many swimmer/bikers. I ride a Triumph Bonneville and a Royal Enfield...but only local.
  • Mr. Waterfriend, I just started a video blog here on USMS, and I went to check out my "statistics" on YouTube. It lets you look at where your viewers come from. I figured that 99 percent of these would come from my desk. But to my surprise, I saw that I had a fan base in Brazil. If you are my international fan, thank you very, very much! Please encourage your South American friends to check out Vlog the Inhaler as well!
