I have had a cold for the past 6 days and for the last two I've found a combination of drugs that have made it tolerable enough to let me swim. I take Nyquil (generic kind) an hour before bedtime and Musinex D just before I leave for work. At approximately 5pm, I take a 1/2 dose of the Musinex D. I feel good enough to practice for a little while (45 min).
If you have things that work for you please pass them along. Thanks, Coach T.

SHOULD you be swimming when you have a cold?
It's how comfortable you are with your medications but the fact is that, like it or not, your runny nose is discharging into the pool and spreading the cold virus/germ/microbe/bacterium/whatzit....... Or does the chlorine really kill these without fail?
