I have had a cold for the past 6 days and for the last two I've found a combination of drugs that have made it tolerable enough to let me swim. I take Nyquil (generic kind) an hour before bedtime and Musinex D just before I leave for work. At approximately 5pm, I take a 1/2 dose of the Musinex D. I feel good enough to practice for a little while (45 min).
If you have things that work for you please pass them along. Thanks, Coach T.

I love Mucinex (plain, not D) - if I take it continuously from the first sign, I can avoid a sinus infection. Drink a lot of water for it to work well. For symptoms, I like Dayquil. My doc also has be on Advair regularly to avoid bronchitis, which has been a problem for me this year.
Good luck. Hope you feel better soon!
