Chris, FYI, I went to a one day SCM meet in Mission Viejo today, thinking it'd be a good "in training" meet to see where I am two months out from trying to swim fast.
It was a bi-polar experience. I was pretty happy as I was near times I typically do in November. I was sad (but VERY impressed) when Eric Hochstein smoked a 4:38 in the 400 IM ... AFTER having gone a 16:58 in the mile about 40 minutes earlier.
The bar is certainly raised.
