Is it just me or does anyone else out there feel that they gave Phelps lame material to work with?

Not one of their better shows. I thought that one of the funniest bits that included Michael was at the very end, the "Michael Phelps 12,000 Calorie Diet" where they had people eating foot-high stacks of pancakes, entire hogs, etc. And a warning on the screen, "Warning: Diet may be fatal."
Agreed on the last sketch.
Watching SNL w/ a DVR is awesome. You can skip the things you want to skip. But I gotta say that I haven't skipped through that much the last couple of seasons. There have been some classic sketches the last few years, even contributing greatly to the rise of youtube as an economic and cultural juggernaut.
"The Chronic cles of Narnia", "*** in a Box" and the one w/ the president of Iran were ginormous.
The opening skit has almost 3.2 million hits on NBC's official site. That's hella impressive.
