Ah the trouble with being bored at work on a Friday before a long weekend.
So for those who know me (and those who don't), I pose a question.
At Indy next year, what will my 50 Free time be?
I just went 26.52 at Zones last weekend.
Have a baby (followed by daily massages) and you should crack the 25 second mark no problem.
Or, do your upper body work and daily sprints, and the times will drop.
Have a baby, get daily massages, give up golf and bowling, and swim more than you did this year.
Of course, a little success is always good for motivation!
spend 25K for the next year on coach, trainers, message therapists and you could go 25.50. Also, add amino acids from Germany and you could go under 25.00.
27.00??????? Jeez. Gimme a break here. And even that 26.50 is just a little insulting. :mooning:
Don't be so high maintenance, girlfriend! :P
You just did a PB of 27.1 and then dropped .6 for a 26.5. That's huge. As you (or more accurately I) know, 50s can be funky. It's easy to make an error(s) and ruin the swim. Or, you might be a bit off on your taper meet or sick or whatever. So doing a very fast 26.5 again is not an insult!
However, I'm sure you will continue to drop more because you've only been back a year and you plan to train more this year. 3-4 x a week is a good goal. Last year, you had some empty weeks or 1-2x week where you sort of lost motivation. If you can stick to the 3-4 x a week plan, I think you'll do very well.
