So, now that we are on the countdown to May 09 - who is coming and what do you plan to swim?
This will be my first US Master's National meet, and it happens to be happening in my back yard (at least very close to where I grew up and swam USA club). Over is San Luis Obispo now, but it's a short hop, skip, and jump over the foothills to Clovis!

I'm not feeling the love from all the East coasters on Clovis. What a matter, don't feel like polluted sky's and hot weather (kinda like Beijing ya know!). Actually, the Valley can be very nice early May with all the blossoms out and first fruits starting to come off.

I had a very traumatic USA Swimming nationals there in 1998 and do not want to relive the memories.
I along with Jeff have had a really bad Nats there many many years ago (prior 1990) and will pass on reliving the experience. :doh:Has anyone ever swum well there? My memories of LCM nationals there in the late 80s aren't positive either

Yes,finally,now if I can only find a cure for a severe case of "Bob Strand" I'll be in good shape.
It is pretty early yet, but I think I'll be going to Clovis and Indy both.
Clovis because it is near Yosemite and other national parks, and I think my wife and I will go on a short little vacation after...I have already secured a tentative agreement from my dad to see mini-me off to school! My sister also lives a couple of hours from Fresno.
Indy because it is a great pool and at a good time for me (well before school starts).
I don't know what I'll swim, I like to do 100/200 back, 100/200 fly and 200/500 free but I often have to modify those choices based on the order of events.
Same order at Austin.
