So, now that we are on the countdown to May 09 - who is coming and what do you plan to swim?
This will be my first US Master's National meet, and it happens to be happening in my back yard (at least very close to where I grew up and swam USA club). Over is San Luis Obispo now, but it's a short hop, skip, and jump over the foothills to Clovis!
Geek...what's the situation in North Carolina? As everyone knows many of us would like to pay a visit to your backyard so you can have us all over for a BBQ.
Charlotte does have three 50 m X 25 yd pools. Two of them can have dual 25 yard courses but neither have the seating or warm-down that Nationals would require.
There is a sweet new high tech pool in RTP, about 3 hours from here that is getting rave reviews. I haven't seen this place in person so can't comment as to whether it could hold a big national meet.
As to regular meets, there is a well attended meet the last weekend of January every year here in Charlotte.
