So, now that we are on the countdown to May 09 - who is coming and what do you plan to swim?
This will be my first US Master's National meet, and it happens to be happening in my back yard (at least very close to where I grew up and swam USA club). Over is San Luis Obispo now, but it's a short hop, skip, and jump over the foothills to Clovis!
What would be really interesting (imo) is how many of the "selections" were "only one bid received".
{The asterisks are events I attended - I started up again in 2000. I live in the SF Bay Area. Hawaii was great; we did 10 days on Maui afterwards. After Baltimore we went into DC for a day and did the tourist deal. Wife has relatives in Ohio so we spent a few days with them after the meet. For the rest of them, it was pretty much swim the meet and get back home (to work actually).}
I think I recall that one of the Santa Clara meets was an out of region bid because there was no bid in region. Maybe Mike can illuminate.
