I am involved in masters wim team afternoons but coach is mostly devoted to large group of hs swimmers etc-which is at the same time our group is practicing. for most part we (not many people show up everyday) are on our own. Then there is another club swim at 5:30am definitely no other groups-more coach attention. SDhould i go with the morning session? or should i give another week and see? thanks Rob

  • I think you should talk to the coach either way. I assume you pay some type of monthly fee to be in the masters program on your team - that fee is also supposed to cover a coach actually coaching you! Too many teams that include both a USA swim and a USMS team leave their maters swimmers hanging. I swim for a club that is masters only, and the practices are geared more towards fitness swimming - but the coaches are generally very hands on with demonstating correct technique and giving advice (sometimes they end up in the water with us!).
