  • Name: Rebecca Friedlander City, State: Denver, CO Blog Name: Off the Deck Blog Link: www.offthedeck.net About: All things swim, but with a focus on competitive swimming. Weekly posts fall under headers such as "training strategies," "the healthy swimmer," "meet strategies," "Olympic swimming," "tapering," "suits," and more; additional pages feature helpful links, references to swimming in pop culture and more. (I update these pages whenever I have new material.) I welcome comments and topic suggestions so feel free to drop me a line on my blog. Teasers: Expect to see a reader contest complete with prize, a recap of this September's convention and details on my quest to meet my all-time favorite Olympic swimmer (it's not who you think!) this fall on my blog. And, to meet reader demand, I am trying to work on getting some images on there as well... What Else?: I am a full-time freelance writer and masters swimmer who loves distance (LC rules!) and butterfly, and really, really means it when typing "I'm going to work on my breaststroke and sprinting this year."
