How is the parking situation at Nationals? is it a mad house with cars parked on sidewalks or is there plenty of parking?

There is plenty of parking on the campus of Mt. Hood Community College, including about 1,000 spaces immediately in front of the Aquatic Center. The longest walk from any of these spaces would be about 100 yards, but there is a "turn-around" area in front of the center where you can unload your gear before finding a space in the lot.
Portland weather has generally been very warm and sunny this summer, although we have had a couple of cool, cloudy days in the last week. Even when the weather is warm, it can be cool and sometimes foggy in the early mornings, so plan accordingly.
There will be plenty of places at the Aquatic Center to get out of the sun. There are stands above the indoor warm-up pool, with room for several hundred swimmers. Tents will be allowed on the top level of the spectator stands outside, and just beyond those stands, tents may be set up in the adjacent soccer field (the event sponsor is also putting some tents there for use by swimmers).
