Bradford Gandee (50-54) enters a 2:10.00 for the 200 free and swims a 2:10.00.
At least he's not getting slower! He's an animal.
Good job Swimshark and Donna Hooe, dropping tons of time.
I see Paul Smith won the 200 free by a mere 7 seconds. Waiting for his report on the predicted ubiquity of B70s.
More BR records by Bob Strand and David Guthrie.
Smith looked very smooth in that race. I'm at the hotel now and missing the rest of today's races because it's a hundred freaking degrees. And the B70s are everywhere.
I'd be curious whether there is any consensus that they are faster or resulting in faster times.
A couple sick fast times for Paul and Chris Stevenson in the 100 fly! Paul Carter too. And Chris just missed the national record in the 200 back.

Thanks Fort! Ran into Swimshark and she is doing really great as is Floyd. Today was my easy day, just anchor the relay and I felt slow but my split was a second and a half faster than I have gone this year for the 50 free.
I look forward to seeing Dara swim in the finals and hope that possibly next year I might be able to take a crack at beating my best kid time in the 50 Free. She has shown me, if she can do it I can do it too!
I also had the opportunity to chat with Greg Sargent who I swam with back in the early 70's. Ran into him last year too. It is great to catch up on old times.
I am glad that the Men 30-24 400 free wasn't as fast as the 400 IM. There was an impressive 4:14 in the field. I have a good idea of what I need to do in the 400 free next weekend.
Are people wearing LZRs at Masters Championships? I thought that people couldn't buy them until October. Someone told me at a meet this year that Masters swimmers are known for being cheap. I hope that is the case with the LZRs.
I've talked to several people from the forum. Everyone has been great. Talked about injuries and ice with Heather. Floyd and I discussed how awesome his 50 fly was and how bad mine was. He also invited me to join Team Hot Tub. I'm honored. Paul Smith has a very manly handshake. And of course, big thanks to Hulk for helping me with my start.
Oh I almost forgot to mention the PNA guys. David and Kirk, you guys are cool, too.
