Whey or Soy?

Anyone have a suggestion on which is a better source of protein? (ie. protein shakes?) Or anyone have a favorite brand? Thanks!

    Generally, animal protein is going to be more balanced than plant protein, although soy is probably one of the best plant proteins. I eat a lot of soy in the form of tofu, and it doesn't seem to be hurting me. Whey is very fast absorbing, which makes it ideal for having right after you work out. Casein is another protein from milk which digests more slowly. As far as brands, I would go with something unflavored. The flavor in protein mixes is uniformly disgusting. Of course, the protein itself isn't exactly appetizing either. So make a fruit smoothie with it.
