I'm dying to use an ipod while I swim.
Has anyone tried any of these devices?
The H20 is a waterproof case with earphones.....just bought it but hope that wasn't a mistake..(got online..haven't received to try out yet!)
LMK!!!!! THANKS!!!
Ron,
I've just measured my Swimman headset cable length and it come out at about 4 feet. The cable is staight and not coiled as are some of the other headsets. This seems to work a lot better as I have found that the coiled cables tend to increase water drag and this tends to pull on the headeset. Coiled cables also seem to flop around a lot and this interfers with my workout. I usually wear my Swimman iPod on my suit by clipping it onto the left side of my waistband using the iPod's built in clip. The cable then goes up the center of my back and the cable branches at about my neck to go to the right and left audio transducers. The headset clips nicely onto my goggle headband and the earbuds are easily placed in the ears. Because the transducers are clipped onto the goggle strap, there is no cable tugging on the earbuds due to water drag on the cable as there is in other types of headsets. This seems to allow the earbuds to stay in the ears even when I do my kick-turns. Any excess cable left over, I just tuck into my suit from my left side right next to the iPod Shuffle to about the center of my back. In that way, the cable never interferes with any of the strokes that I'm doing. BTW, I have seen other people clip the Swimman iPod onto the back of their goggle strap and then coil up the headset cable and clip it to the goggle strap right next to the Swimman iPod. I hope that this helps you out a bit.
THANKS for all the great info! I just bought the SWIMMAN!!!!!
Will give you all the review once I get it and try it out for a good swim!!!!
