hi there, im a UK masters swimmer and was wondering how you guys prepare for a meet in terms of nutrition? do any of you carb load? Im curious as to whether it is worthwhile in the week of a competition. I normally load up about 2 days before my meet.
Any insight regarding nutrition etc from across the pond would be greatly appreciated :)
I've been told and read that if you want to carb load, it should be, 'healthy' carbs. Examples are whole-wheat breads/pastas, brown rice, whole grains, etc.
