I'm giving her a pass, along with all others who get interviewed within seconds after swimming. Most are gasping for air and just bellow out an answer. I can't even remember my kids' names after a tough race, much less answer Andrew Kramer's stupid questions.
I would not be surprised if she scratched the IM. She will not beat Hoff in Beijing and might lose to Rice. Natalie doesn't like to swim events she doesn't have very strong odds to win gold. She skipped 100 fly because the Aussies will go 1-2. She skipped 200 free because Hoff would beat her.
There's nothing wrong with concentrating on your best events.
It looked to me like Hansen gave up the last 15 meters even though he disputed that in his interview.
Dara's time was unbelievable! Lifetime best at 41. I didn't realize that GHJ hadn't even entered the 100 free ...
The B70 Nero Comp is made of Yamamoto SCS fabric with hydrophobic skin and a drag coefficient of only 0.032 (over 50 times lower than skin), that reduces friction drag through the water.
Do their suits have neoprene(sp?) in them? Or are the pool suits neroprene free?
hows that for a shocker
1 spann
2 shanteau
hansen 4th
Yes, that is a shocker. I fully expected him to win.
How's Dara's 53.76 in the 100 free! Is that her fastest time?
Bad day for Hansen, you can never be sure anyone is going to be a winner until the Fat Lady Sings.
Plans of mice and men can be shattered in an instant.
That 200 IM was really exciting. I thought Kukors was going to do it. Oh, why did she take that short stroke at the finish?
I was pulling for Kukors to beat Coughlin. Natalie is such a tool. Although she is a fabulous swimmer she is a diva. Her interview after the IM was ridiculous. "...when I'm so fast in all the strokes I should be the queen bee of the IM...."
Never mind she lost 3 seconds on the *** leg.
