so pretty much everyone that i'v talked to is dissapointed that matt grevers got second.
Grevers swam the best race of his life. If people are disappointed, it shouldn't be at him.
One more (obviously getting my OT fix during lunch):

Spitz comes across pretty jerky, particularly with this comment about Ian Crocker:
"If the world recordholder wakes up and decides not to feel sorry for himself, Phelps could have a hard time in the 100 fly," Spitz said.

Spitz has been ALL over the place in terms of his comments on Phelps, too. I remember reading articles recently where he stated that he didn't think Phelps would be able to top his 7 golds ...
As for Crocker I find him VERY likeable. I'd love to see him go a 50 point low in finals and then a 49 at the games for the win. He seems like the greatest guy.
As for Coughlin I'm not her biggest fan but I think she was speaking more of her own frustrations then anything else. I understood her comment to be basically I'm so frustrated because I have a great fly, back and free yet I cannot put together the type of IM I SHOULD be capable of.
Let's back off of these swimmers a bit seeing as they are in the most stressful meet of their lives and having a microphone thrust in their face moments after finishing a race.
