We always use 4 seconds per 50 and 8 seconds per hundred as a good rule of thumb.
As the times drop down really low....the conversion is more like 3.5 and 7 seconds less on a 50 and 100.
This sounds more like a rule of thumb to go from long course meters to short course yards, not from short course meters to short course yards.
For SCM to SCY I'd just take off 10%. That will be pretty close.
