Those were my thoughts, exactly... But I'm glad you said it instead of me... :Lurking: Glad I could help! Now we wait. :coffee:
  • A) Any new tests come out that can detect some of the more elaborate "cocktails" of drugs being used...ideally via a urine test because the blood test option simply is not going to happen. In That Other Thread That Shall Not Be Named, the person in question has already been providing blood samples for tests (with some of them being frozen for any potential new tests to be created). There were still a fair number of posters who said they would still have doubts she was clean, regardless of how many tests come up negative.

I can accept the possibility that she is clean. Why is it so hard for posters to accept the possibility that she isn't?

Speaking only for myself of course, I can accept the possibility that she is dirty. Anything is possible, especially doping in elite level sports. Having said that, I choose to give her the benefit of the doubt.

Having said that, I choose to give her the benefit of the doubt. I respect your position. Personally speaking, however, it has become more and more difficult for me to give sports figures "the benefit of the doubt."

Was that 21.50 or .58 or .56? My screen is all out of focus.

Now, I thought he'd read my recalling of the Russian forced-air-buoyancy ploy; after all, it was remarked that he looked...pumped up...

This is the biggest guy I have ever seen in swimming. He's brick sh*t house. He could be a pro football player..... no problem. John Smith You mean if he knew how to play football? He might fit in as a sort of skinny wide receiver. But he doesn't look very much like this guy, does he? img143.imageshack.us/.../082507lofaxs9.jpg

  • What, no :roids: comments? Anna Lea Anna...there is plenty of talk going on about it out there, we'll just have to wait and see if: A) Any new tests come out that can detect some of the more elaborate "cocktails" of drugs being used...ideally via a urine test because the blood test option simply is not going to happen. B) Any of the users ae stupid enough to use "old school" drugs and mistime their cycles and get busted. What will catch my attention is when some of the more high profile athletes (in all sports) for one reason or another pull out of key events leading up to the Games.
