Alain Bernard broke his 47.60 world record by swimming 47.50 in the 100 LCM free in finals at the European Championships in Eindhoven, Netherlands March 13 - March 24 2008 He went out in 22.53! Anna Lea Anna...there is plenty of talk going on about it out there, we'll just have to wait and see if: A) Any new tests come out that can detect some of the more elaborate "cocktails" of drugs being used...ideally via a urine test because the blood test option simply is not going to happen. B) Any of the users ae stupid enough to use "old school" drugs and mistime their cycles and get busted. What will catch my attention is when some of the more high profile athletes (in all sports) for one reason or another pull out of key events leading up to the Games.
