I am looking for some guidance on entering a seed time for the 500 Free. I have never swum the event in competition and do not want to be too far off from what it should be.
I know this might not be enough information, but I just want to have a rough, conservative idea:
Best Times:
100 yd Free 1:02 (29/33)
200 yd Free 2:27 (33/37/39/38)
I don't even have a practice time, but I can tell you I tend to be a little better at shorter distances in practice than longer distances.
Any help would be appreciated.

Tim, I pulled the time out of the blue water. As you point out your coach after seeing you swim and knowing your swimming ability, can pretty accurately estimate how you will swim in meets. Sight unseen, one number is as good as any other. What I did was, I took Brad’s slowest 50 split (+ 1 second) in the 200 and extrapolated it for 500, then I added 2.47 seconds to make it look like a legitimate seed time.
Rob..can I get you to come up with seed times instead of using the converters?
