Seed Time

I am looking for some guidance on entering a seed time for the 500 Free. I have never swum the event in competition and do not want to be too far off from what it should be. I know this might not be enough information, but I just want to have a rough, conservative idea: Best Times: 100 yd Free 1:02 (29/33) 200 yd Free 2:27 (33/37/39/38) I don't even have a practice time, but I can tell you I tend to be a little better at shorter distances in practice than longer distances. Any help would be appreciated.

    You're a tad faster than me and your splits fall like mine too. I go about 7:30 in practice--in a race I think I'd do better.... My speed drops significantly though and I don't train for 500's. What speed do you hold your 100 repeats on? Your 200 shows you drop off a bit like me. I think 7:00 should be doable for you. Failing that, go for swim, warm up, push it for 500 and see where you stand.
