Are you swimming for pleasure when you are traning?
I swim for relaxation.
I swim for fitness.
I swim to keep my blood pressure down.
I swim to lower my blood sugar.
Do I need to split my gut like so many of you are doing???

I swim because its the only exercise I have really loved, I swim for pleasure and fitness. I feel great after a good swim its good for the mind as well as the body.
Now it is just for fun but I have a grudge match coming up so I had better start training harder. Watch out Jim and Allen. 50 fly and 100 IM. You must understand these are Marathon distances for me Now.
I swim because it is the one thing that keeps me honest. It reminds me of my youth, and helps me to dream.
I love the flowing streamline, the bubbles and rhythmic breathing. There's nothing like that gliding feeling, and the cool rush of watery motion. The endorphins are great, and I always feel like a weight has been lifted after swimming.
I swim because I have to.
A friend asked my wife if I was still swimming,she replied"yes,he's still breathing."
I hope to aspire to that same reaction.
