Just wondering if there is a way to calculate SCY times into SCM, or vice versa...? I've not raced SCY since I was a kid...

1in=2.54cm, so 1 yard=0.9144m, or 100yards=91.44m.
Assuming swimming at same speed.will take 1/0.9144 =1.094 times as long to swim X metres as X yards, ie about 10 per cent longer.
Equivalently, only 0.9144 times as long to swim X yards as X metres, ie about 10 per cent less - which is the shortcut suggested above.
More sophisticated conversion tables no doubt allow for the fact that it is harder to keep up the same speed over 100m than 100 yards etc.
