What are your 2008 Swimming New Years Resolutions?
What have you been procrastinating?
Mine are to:
1) lose weight (go from 215 to 205 or better) and
2) do a few more SDK's on hard swims when I'm tired

I've spent a lot of time pondering this topic. I have decided my resolution for 2008 will be to stop making fun of slow fitness swimmers...like Stud. Good thing I don't start until tomorrow.
To expand on my prior post, I want to emphasize a balanced approach to my swimming and living. In the last year, I have worked harder (out of the pool) and had stretches of time that were downright hard.
So for 2008, I want to drink more and have more fun! I'm still going to train hard, and I would be particularly happy if I got several masters' PB, but my life outside the pool has been challenging enough that I don't need another obligation. In the pool, I'll focus on the process and get the results I deserve.
Hello, Sonic Here. It's been AGES since I posted here as I've been very busy with life.
My resolution's to get back in the pool and start swimming again. almost two years out of the water's giving me withdrawal symptoms.
I resolve to ignore the other swimmers at the pool and focus more on what I'm doing with my stroke technique. Besides, I actually lap "Mr. Washing Machine" a lot sooner when I'm not actually trying to. :D
Here are my goals....
1. Swim more then 2 times a week.
2. Add yoga and pilates to my weekly routine.
3. Avoid the fast food lunch time break..... ugh.....
4. Invite new people to join our team..
5. Beat my "Go the Distance" yardage from last year.
Have a happy New Year!!!1
Don't lose my gum when swimming a particularly difficult set.
So annoying. . .
:wiggle:
Somehow figure out how to beat the swimmers who cheat in practice.
i.e., those who love wearing the paddles, fins, flotation devices, wetsuits, small craft engines, or some combination thereof.
