Here's a thread for the ladies to discuss anything that relates to women and swimming. For example, feel free to discuss how disgustingly ugly fastskins are, how the "curse" can kill a meet, how suits don't fit, how swimming wrecks your hair, how hormones unhinge you, etc.

I survived last weekend, but it was unpleasant. Next meet, same thing. :shakeshead:
Meanwhile, I have completely lapsed back into wearing nothing but workout clothes again ...

FAF, while I do enjoy being able to wear "real" clothes I would also enjoy being able to show up to work in sweats ... dare to dream.
One of my teammates told me recently that she had started taking blackstrap molasses and apple cider vinegar to fight fatigue. Anyone else tried this?
I heard the blacktrap molasses is good for slowing down the proliferation of gray hair. Never tried it though. I just yank 'em out of my head. :D
Has anyone gotten the flu lately? I've had it since Sunday night and it's getting really tiring... can't shake it. Not puking anymore thank goodness (no, I'm not pregnant).
Sorry!
I haven't gotten it yet, although I've had my flu mist. But, then, that didn't work last year.
Flu mist? Flu shot?
I get the Flu Mist. It's a nasal spray, not a shot. Much easier to deal with, and is apparently supposed to protect against certain respiratory infections too.

Never heard of it. I'll have to look for it. I hate missing my pool time from being sick.
=(
I have never had the flu. I had one flu shot and got bronchitis three times that winter. No shot for me.
It's luck of the draw which virus they choose for the yearly strain and whether it's the one that actually shows up. The first year my company offered free flu shots I got the worst flu of my life - apparently not the one we were vaccinated for. Other years, it seems to have worked.
I still go for it. I think you have to give your immune system something to do now and then or it gets bored and starts looking for something to attack.
