Here's a thread for the ladies to discuss anything that relates to women and swimming. For example, feel free to discuss how disgustingly ugly fastskins are, how the "curse" can kill a meet, how suits don't fit, how swimming wrecks your hair, how hormones unhinge you, etc.

Okay, so...you can tell us...which one did you choose? The heart or the bullseye?
Ha ha! Sorry! I don't kiss and tell!
I've tried soap, soaking, not soaking, menthol shave gel, regular foam, new razor every time, with the grain, against the grain, a freaking Epilady in the 90's, you name it.
I'm going to try a couple of products recommended on another board: Veet Rasera and also perhaps Tend Skin. I just spent 20 minutes longingly looking at laser hair removal sites. Maybe if I start that burlesque troupe I'll be able to justify $1200+ to permanently mow my bikini line, but not quite yet.
Either that or I'll buy the non-bikini-line-showing style of suit.
But about waxing, don't you have to wait for regrowth and spend time hairy anyhow in order to wax again? I've never understood how women get through that regrowth stubbly looking period in between waxes. It seems like it would look untidy for longer than it looks tidy?

Epiladys is brutal...a guy I worked with tried to remove his back thatch for the beach with one...he said he screamed like a girl!
What about those removal creams?
Swimstud,
Veet Rasera is supposed to be a removal cream. I'm going to try that.
Has nobody invented a roll-on topical hair growth retardant? That is what I really want.
My mother gave me an Epilady as a very hostile gift once. I tried to use it twice and got very angry with the whole concept. Whoever invented that really hated women.

Those things are torture devices. Man, I remember those in the 80's... my cousin zapped me on my calf when she first got it - and I had a stinging, red patch of razor burn for at least a week. I could have kicked her it hurt so bad. I think they sell them as tazers now.
Willow, there is some kind of lotion that you can get via prescription that halts hair growth. I cannot remember what it is called for the life of me. I remember the commercial with some women putting it on their upper lip and armpits. Armpit is such a gross word. Ask your doctor.
waxing is the way to go if you can't afford laser.
legs, arms, underarms whatever. for men, i have heard back and chest waxing is painfull:joker:
as far as growth, it doesnt have to be that long. if you use nair sugar wax it grows back faster than a pro job. but sugar wax rinses off with water, the other doesn't which can leave the back of your thighs stuck to the couch:lmao:
Good grief, I go on vacation and (S)he-Man causes a minor earthquake by mentioning Brazil. I've seen evidence at USMS meets that this is not an isolated phenomenon. Bikini wax works well too. Conditioner too.
Why are guys who are not cyclists or triathletes shaving their entire body, BTW? Just showing off their muscles? Comfier that way? Seems like a huge pain in the ass to do all that shaving all the time ...
