Women's Locker Room

Here's a thread for the ladies to discuss anything that relates to women and swimming. For example, feel free to discuss how disgustingly ugly fastskins are, how the "curse" can kill a meet, how suits don't fit, how swimming wrecks your hair, how hormones unhinge you, etc.
  • I can't believe I'm responding to this topic but having just spent a week at the beach and subjected to this conversation a few times I will pass along that apparently laser hair removal is some sort of god-sent blessing for this issue.
  • For the record I have not had hair removal. I was in the presence of women and because I am either non-threatening or clueless, they talk about stuff like this around me, probably just to get me to get up and go play with the kids in the ocean. I have never shaved that particular area of my body but I do know some men who have and we give them a wide berth in the lockerroom.
  • Gee Geek I have never looked to see if any men shave that area. Gee, George, it doesn't surprise me that this is yet another thing you have never seen but have formed some sort of opinion on and feel obligated to spout off about.
  • OK you are now my offical hero! :blah: Geek what's wrong with keeping your bits and pieces tidy, or are you talking about "bare wood floors versus low pile carpetiting?" A nice practical, no pile, and easy to clean fitted carpet is considerate, if you get my drift? What's good for me is good for her I guess... :bouncing: tmi, TMI! My eyes are burning just thinking about it!

By far the most disturbing internet post I have ever read.
  • For old school people who don't mind a bit of pain, a Brazilian wax is a good way to go. And for a bit of spice, you can ask for a heart or a bullseye. Okay, so...you can tell us...which one did you choose? The heart or the bullseye?
  • waxing is the way to go if you can't afford laser. legs, arms, underarms whatever. for men, i have heard back and chest waxing is painfull:joker: as far as growth, it doesnt have to be that long. if you use nair sugar wax it grows back faster than a pro job. but sugar wax rinses off with water, the other doesn't which can leave the back of your thighs stuck to the couch:lmao:
  • Epiladys is brutal...a guy I worked with tried to remove his back thatch for the beach with one...he said he screamed like a girl! What about those removal creams? How 'bouts plucking 'em? Each one...individually. :censor: Take you a while but you'll get there eventually. Good for a "goal setting" exercise.

I have a new question for the women. I searched but didn't find any guidance on this topic. I am having a miserable time with razor burn in my bikini area. I soak in the tub for over an hour and then shave with a new razor with shaving cream. And still it hurts, is red and furious and I am getting itchy sore bumps. Can we discuss the merits of waxing vs shaving vs what else is there? I am seriously considering buying one of those technical suits with shorty legs (which I absolutely do not need) just to escape the horror of depilation. Willow
