Pre and Post swim skin lotion / shower gel

Hi - I'm new to swimming. Can anyone recommend a post swim skin lotion and / or shower gel brand that both helps remove chlorine and helps with dry skin? Also - I saw someone using a pre-swim lotion that is supposed to help fend off the chlorine, but I wasn't quick enough to ask him what it was. General google searches haven't yielded any results. Anyone know what this is and where to get it? Thanks very much.

  • I'm still waiting for this stink. I swim 6-7 days a week, and I don't smell at all. All I do is take a shower when I get home. Go for a run or just lick your skin. I don't notice that I smell like chlorine until I sweat. If you are swimming 6-7 days a week, I hate to break this to you, but you smell like chlorine. Citrus smells help cut the chlorine smell. Loreal has a great shampoo - kids swim and sport. It's cheap and in a little blue bottle with an orange flip top. Also adding baking soda to your regular shampoo helps get the acidity of the chlorine out and helps mositurize your hair (chemists help me if I got that wrong). I bust out a deep conditioner about twice a week, too. I've uses tons of different lotions the best being Oil of Olay's Quench therapy. I also try to use baby oil in the shower (after I am all clean). Slather it all over then rinse it off in luke warm water and pat dry.
