Hi there, first time posting, just found out about this wonderful forum. I learned about French girl Laure Manaudou using a 2 beat kick to swim 400m. But the clip on youtube is too fast i couldn't figurt out which leg kicks goes with which stroking arm. Does anybody know? Is it the opposite leg kick with the stroking arm? Or is it the same side? Thanks.

2 beat kicks work in sync with the arms in most cases.
It adds both leverage and balance to the stroke.
As the left arm enters...the right foot thumps with a down beat.
Right arm enters...the left foot thumps down.

You can see it clearly towards the end of this clip.
When she switches gears though...the kick tempo changes to 6 beats, and her arms develop more turnover.
Really incredible swimmer.
