Dara just one the national title in the 100M Freestyle in 54.4 at the ripe old age of 40. Simply Incredible. :applaud: :woot:
If that's not inspiring I don't know what is.

Nice article on Dara here.....I like the paragraph near the end about Masters Swimmers in particular.

I completely agree....must be kind of sad to go through life with such a cynical and pessimistic attitude as some others do.
huh? It's sad that the athletes have caused us to take this attitude. It's not like we just happened upon this on our own, get a grip.
No, not what I said....nobody makes you go through life like that! It is your choice how you choose to view things! You can go through life all cynical and pessimistic because a few people cheated....or you can believe in the good of people until they prove otherwise! I choose to look at things optimistically and trust people until they prove otherwise.....makes life pretty good as far as I am concerned!
Otherwise defined as; naive. guess you and geo can go thru life still looking under your pillow for that 25 cents from the tooth fairy.

Being a realist is not necessarily associated with being unhappy or sad or bitter! What's wrong with questioning things? Who wants to blithely or blindly accept what others say without independent analysis? No reason to put the brain in storage! And there's really not "proof positive" for virtually anything in life. If you're waiting around for that, you'll be waiting a long time. Of course, George still thinks Clemens and Landis are clean ...
What I want to know is can you feel the same way???
Sure, but by the same token can you feel this way?
Dara's performances in Omaha have been greeted in some accounts with extreme suspicion.
This is the understandable, if regrettable, import of the BALCO scandal and the Mitchell Report, of Marion Jones and Floyd Landis and of far too many others in recent years.
Which I totally get.
